The 10 Best Ways To Take Care Of Your Skin

When you look good, you feel good. That’s the motto at Oceren Skin Care Spa, and it’s one we take seriously here. We’ve put together 10 of our favorite ways to take care of your skin—from the inside out.

1. Wash Your Face

Face wash is a daily routine that everyone should have. It helps to keep skin clear and healthy by removing impurities and excess oils. There are many different types of face washes to choose from, including clay cleansers, foaming cleansers, and oil-based cleansers. Try different types until you find the one that works best for your skin type. One thing to keep in mind is whether or not you need a daily face wash. If you have oily skin or acne, then you will probably need a daily face wash. But if you have dry, sensitive skin, then it’s okay to skip a day or two without washing your face. When it comes to cleaning your face, there are two basic steps: first, wet your face with water; then scrub it with your fingers. Wash your entire face at once and make sure not to get any product (whether it be soap or lotion) in any of the creases around your eyes or mouth.

2. Drink Water

Water is the best and most natural way to cleanse and hydrate your skin. Drinking enough water can help you reduce your risk of getting dehydrated, as well as improve your skin’s texture by keeping it moisturized.

If you find it difficult to drink enough water throughout the day, try adding some flavor to it! Try adding a slice of lemon or lime, cucumber slices, or cucumber slices with mint leaves sprinkled on top. You can also add fresh mint leaves or mint tea bags for an added kick!

3. Get enough sleep

Getting enough sleep is essential for anyone, no matter what age. Not getting enough sleep can affect your mood and happiness, and it’s also important for your overall health. Sleep is when your body repairs itself and builds new cells, so if you don’t get enough of it over time, you could be setting yourself up for serious problems down the line.

One way to ensure that you get enough sleep is to set a sleep schedule. Try to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day. If you have trouble sleeping, avoid caffeine after dinner or other things that might keep you awake. And try to avoid stressful situations right before bedtime.

Another way to ensure that you get enough sleep is to spend some time in bed relaxing and winding down before going to sleep. This can help reduce stress and keep your mind from racing before you fall asleep.

4. Wear sunscreen every day

Sunscreen is the most important ingredient in your skincare routine. It’s the one thing that will protect you from premature aging and skin cancer.

You might be thinking, “But I’m not out in the sun very much.” That’s not true—even on cloudy days, UV rays can still damage your skin.

As soon as you step outside, your body starts producing vitamin D, which helps keep bones strong. But if you’re not wearing sunscreen, those UV rays are also breaking down collagen and elastin in your skin, causing it to wrinkle prematurely and age faster than it would have otherwise.

When you’re outside at any time of day (even if it’s cloudy), make sure that you’re wearing sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher. If you’re going for a longer period of time or spending more time outdoors than normal (like on vacation), consider doubling up with an SPF 50 or higher.

5. Eat fruit and vegetables

Eating fruit and vegetables is one of the best ways to care for your skin. Fruits and vegetables contain antioxidants that help counteract the effects of free radicals, which can damage your skin’s collagen. They also contain vitamin C, which is an antioxidant that helps maintain healthy skin cells. Fruits and vegetables are also great sources of minerals like zinc, iron, magnesium, and potassium; all of which play a role in keeping your skin looking young and healthy.

6. Exercise regularly

It’s no secret that exercise is good for your health, but did you know it can also help you look younger?

We know it’s not always easy to find the time or motivation to get up and work out, but when you consider how much better you’ll feel both physically and mentally after a workout, it’s worth the effort.

As an added benefit, exercising regularly will help reduce your risk of developing diabetes and heart disease, which can only make your skin look better!

7. Cut back on alcohol

As you get older, your skin changes. It’s important to take care of it by eating right and drinking lots of water.

But there are a few other things you can do to help your skin stay looking its best:

Cut back on alcohol. Drinking alcohol dehydrates your body, which means it also dehydrates your skin.

8. Don't smoke

If you want to protect your skin from the damaging effects of smoking, you need to quit now.

Smoking is a major cause of skin aging, wrinkles, and dullness. It accelerates the aging process by speeding up cell turnover in your skin, causing it to age faster than normal. Cigarette smoke also damages collagen and elastin production in the body, which makes the skin less elastic and more prone to sagging and wrinkles.

But don’t worry! You can take steps today to start reversing these effects and making your skin look younger again.

9. Get enough vitamin D from the sun

We all know that vitamin D is essential for good health. But did you know that it’s also important for healthy skin?

The best way to get enough vitamin D is by spending time in the sun—but getting too much can be just as bad as not getting enough, so it’s important to protect yourself with sunscreen when you’re outside.

10. Try yoga or meditation for stress relief

When you’re stressed, it’s hard to know where to start.

There are some things that you can do to help yourself feel better, though. One of the best is yoga or meditation. Both activities can help you relax and reduce stress by focusing on your breath and body. They also have a way of connecting you back with yourself and your emotions, which helps you feel more at ease in your own skin.

Yoga involves moving through poses while breathing deeply and slowly; meditation involves sitting quietly while focusing on one thing—your breath or an object, for example—and letting go of other thoughts as they come into your mind. Both activities require focus, so they’re good ways to get started if you’ve never done them before!
